United Way of Pinal County

Our Mission: “Uniting generosity with community needs to promote lasting change in people’s lives”

Our Credo: “United Way of Pinal County fights for the Health, Education and Financial Stability
of every person in Pinal County”

United Way of Pinal County is a 501(c)3 organization accountable to a group of volunteer board of directors representing Pinal County geographically and demographically. This group oversees the leadership, policies, finances, programmatic, and fundraising efforts.
Currently, the United Way of Pinal County provides numerous services to the community. These programs include Family, Friend & Neighbor (FFN) – training and resources for childcare providers, Reading by 3rd Grade Initiative in partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library – mails books to the homes of children 0-5 to promote literacy, Transportation Assistance – car repair & alternative transportation such as bikes, Rent & Utility Assistance paired with Financial Education, Path to Success GED Scholarship, MyFreeTaxes – no-cost federal & state tax preparation, and more.

Since 1981, United Way of Pinal County has been serving our communities with programs geared to improve the lives of every person in Pinal County. The way we accomplish that is by identifying the root causes of some of most pressing problems and partnering with organizations to help us provide the possible outcomes. In many cases, United Way of Pinal County has created the programs and services of some problems that haven’t been addressed.

Our Values
United Way of Pinal County strives to be a model of diversity and inclusion, with our Board of Directors, staff and volunteers reflecting the many faces, cultures and walks of life that make up the communities we serve. We respect, value, and celebrate the unique attributes, characteristics and perspectives that make each person who they are. We also believe that bringing diverse individuals together allows us to collectively and more effectively address the issues that face our communities. It is our aim, therefore, that our partners, strategies, and investments reflect these core values.
