Florence Chamber Hosting Town Council Candidates in Virtual Forum

The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce invites residents of Florence to watch a virtual forum featuring candidates for mayor and town council on Wednesday, Oct. 7th at 6 PM.  The event will be broadcast live on the Chamber’s Facebook page (@gfcoc), and immediately afterwards it will be viewable on the Chamber website.

The forum will ask the candidates questions about issues important to Florence that have been submitted by the community, as well as chamber members.   Questions can be submitted to roger@florenceazchamber.com up until Oct. 6th.   All candidates eligible for the Nov. 3rd ballot have been invited to participate.

“We are proud to provide this service to the community, as we have for many past elections,” said Roger Biede, executive director of the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce. “This is an opportunity for the residents to hear the candidates answer questions about the issues that mean the most to them.”

While in the past the forums sponsored by the Chamber have been held at local venues, this year the Chamber has committed to virtual events to highlight the candidates. Several participants in the forums have expressed that they have a personal preference for lower-risk events.  We continue to encourage residents to shop locally, including many of the fine restaurants in Florence while using Covid-19 safety precautions.

Chamber-sponsored events and the details of the events can be found on the Chamber’s website and social media profiles.  The Chamber is available to answer questions about how to view this virtual event by calling (510) 418-3959
