COVID-19 Update

The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce acknowledges concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its potential impacts on Arizona employers, non-profits, and service providers. The situation regarding COVID-19 is changing daily and we will continue to closely monitor communications from Governor Ducey, CDC and other health authorities in the region and provide organizational updates as we have them.

With the Coronavirus pandemic firmly in the news and beginning to impact our daily lives, we wanted to highlight some of the precautions we’re taking – in line with best practices recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Arizona Department of Health Services – for the health and safety of our members and employees.

The following precautions are currently in place at the Chamber and McFarland State Park:
• Daily cleaning, common spaces like desks and counters.
• All employees have been asked to wash hands frequently and to use hand sanitizer, especially at stations where cash is used.
• Employees who are ill will be asked to stay at home.
• We’ll be practicing social distancing, trading handshakes for head nods or other friendly gestures for the time being.

We of course welcome you to the Chamber to conduct business as usual, but as has become customary messaging, will just remind you to be mindful of washing your hands and taking appropriate precautions to ensure your fellow member-owners and Chamber staff are safe and healthy.

We will continue to monitor this situation.

Thank you for your understanding,
