Casa Palaia is an historic rowhouse in Florence, Arizona, owned by sisters Terese and Marian Palaia. The rowhouse, built in 1881 by Manuel Robles, is a gorgeous example of Sonoran architecture. In 2017, the previous owners updated and remodeled the property into 2 units: one 1-bedroom/1-bath and one 2-bedroom/1-bath. Marian lives in the 1-bedroom unit and hosts Airbnb guests in the 2-bedroom “suite.” The lot itself takes up an entire block of downtown Florence, bordered by Bailey, Butte, Pinal, and 13th Streets, caddy-corner to the Pinal County Courthouse. Lovely cactus gardens and palm trees decorate the yard, which is perfect for hosting gatherings. We love company, and our visitors love the house and the town.
